Areco continues to expand through the acquisition of Mälarplåt AB

Areco has acquired Mälarplåt a Swedish export company trading in various types of secondary, and third grade steel products including surplus stock materials. The company is located in Sweden and offering efficient shipment solutions all over the world. The business will be moved to Areco Metals, the raw material division within Areco Profiles AB, in Malmö Sweden.

Mälarplåt specializes on supporting small and medium-sized forging- and sheet metal companies in their purchase of commercial steel and sheet metal products. Thanks to the acquisition we will get access to a broad network of suppliers, and it will place us in a unique position to find the right products for our customers. We are also expanding our product range and strengthen our position both locally and globally, says Peter Areskog, President at Areco.
